Background

Co-founder (with Kelcy Warren) of Energy Transfer in 1996, built it into one of the largest natural gas pipeline companies in the US (~140,000 miles of infrastructure). Retired as co-CEO and co-chairman 2007. Served on ETP and ETE boards until 2022. Based in Dallas, TX. Red Oak Capital Holdings for real estate investments. Texas Rangers co-owner since 2010 (purchased for $593M with Bob Simpson); won 2023 World Series.
